I love this movie! Me and my sister watched it for the first time a few years ago, our first Dead End Kids movie. I fell in love with it and them and all of their other movies I watched after.
All the movies are great but this one, in my opinion, has one of the most scariest characters I ever seen. The warden Morgan is just so scary I can't even begin to explain. Bogey did a good job in this movie although personally I prefer Cagney with them.
Overall though, great movie!!!!

I absolutely love this movie! It is my favorite out of all the movies they made. Apparently when this movie first came out back in 38, it didn't get too many good reviews. But it doesn't matter to me, cuz this is still the best movie ever!!!

Haha you would say that! But I do agree! Crime School is definitely one of the good T-Dek films!

Crime School is a fun curiousity with the novelty of seeing Humphrey Bogart in a dashing, brave & heroic goody two shoe role. Bogart melodramatically rescues Bobby Jordan in a boiler room explosion just like in the movie serials. Like I said it's a fun & entertaining social commentary but it's not as good as Dead End & Angels With Dirty Faces.

True. It is more of a fun movie although it has its gritty and serious parts. I enjoyed it. Although Angels is my favorite.

I do think Crime School is a very good movie & I do have this on VHS. I've always wanted to see this film because I wanted to see Bogart playing a "nice" guy for a change & I thought he was very good at it. You're right the movie does have some intense scenes such as the barbed wire fence & the boiler room explosion & yes Morgan was a very scary character. Also the pledge of Allegiance was interesting, the "Under God" was not included yet.

I love Bogart and you're right , it was nice to see him as the good guy. He also laughs in this movie, a real nice laugh, which is something you never really see him do in his movies. He was always so serious everywhere else. They also have this movie on DVD. I bought it off of Amazon.com. I don't think you can find this in stores at all.

Yeah. You can hardly find old Dead End Kids movies in the stores-- even older movies in general.

I ordered "Crime School" & I just got it 2 days ago. I'm glad this movie is finally out on commercial DVD. The VHS "copy" I have is a very poor quality print & I have no access to it anyway. No, you would never find this in stores.
