In the end, Rocky dies in the electric chair, screaming for mercy. But was it real or was it all an act?
I say it's real. Why would someone who had as much pride as Rocky want to have his last moments being remembered as him crying and screaming, just to let the kids down so they don't be like him? i think Rocky's pride was just a front and that he was really scared inside and that when death was right in front of him, he reacted naturally. On the other hand though, he might have very well listened to his priest friend and did it for the sake of the kids-- kind of like doing one good deed before he died. I see both sides but I'm leaning more toward that it's real.
Thoughts?

I don't think he was yellow. I think in the end he decided to do that last favor for his friend, since his friend (the priest) was always there to help him if he needed it. Why not, like you said, do one last good deed before dying.

Good point. Although really, we'll never know.
